LSU appeared in the last three NCAA tournaments held before this season, something that hadn’t happened in 30 years.
All Wade did was do what the big boys do, but he was sloppy about it. Unless you think Zion turned down a bag of money from Kansas to go to Duke for free out of the goodness of his heart, LOL.

The gamble is worth it for McNeese, worst case for them, their coaching search is suspended until June/July and then resumes. They likely get the same level of coach they would have otherwise gotten at that point.
The potential reward being he does not get a show cause or suspension and they get a couple of years out of a great coach.
Why not do that, I would have in their position.
