I cannot believe NYR just pulled that off. Rangers beat Boston and face winner of King's series. Still think Kings win

"Henrik, you've won 5 Game 7's in a row. How do you explain that?"
"Well, two of those were against the Caps, so that doesn't really count."

The Rangers love dangerous cross ice passing in their own zone.
They did everything possible to give Pittsburgh a goal.

That was one piss poor effort from Pitt at the end with the empty net

Oh, please blame this on Bylsma. Caps need a need coach.
i do think there's just something materially wrong w/ crosby.

Oh easily, Bylsma is definitely gone no question about that. Neal and Scuderi are also gone. Shero isn't going anywhere though.

Please Kings... PLEASE come to life and beat the Ducks....

NBC is blaming Bylsma and praising Shero, as if this team doesn't have massive roster construction issues. Look, I'm just saying, the Caps listened to the pundits when it came to dismantling firewagon hockey, and you can see how that worked out.
Don't listen to the pundits. They are dumb. There's a reason no one will hire them in their front office.
Put it like this, at 5v5, the Pens top 3 forwards of Malkin, Sutter, and Jussi combined for 13 G and 10 A. Crosby and Kunitz each went 1-4 at evens. The problem wasn't the stars (especially Malkin). They dominated possession, tilted the ice in their favor, and the stars filled the net pretty well.
They lost cuz they have no depth and Fleury is a sieve. Those two great games covered up a lot of ordinary play.

The Pens blew a 3-1 series and lost for the 5th straight year to a lower seeded team. You can't keep that same coach.
Also rumors all series long of turmoil in the locker room with Bylsma, he lost the team awhile ago.
The Pens are going to make massive changes and rightfully so.
Dan will land on his feet, he's just not a fit here. It's been downhill since his half season interim Cup run.

They have to make massive changes because they can't come anywhere close to affording their roster. This will be a turbulent offseason. I think the Pens' problem is in the front office, not behind the bench, but I am rooting for Bylsma to be the new coach in DC, so I hope he takes it on the chin.

Holy shite what a shitty sequence for the Hawks

Fire sale on scoring chances in Wild-Hawks.
Teams trading breakaway chances.
1-1. 8 minutes into 2nd.

No need to do that, we have the best one in the minors that was just WHL dman of the year.
Scuderi and Orpik are gone... That's a good thing. D isn't an issue between who we have and the minors. Maatta and Pouliot with Letang for the next 5 years. May or may not resign Nisky, he was bad this series. Martin for another year, Despres is ready too.
Trade Neal and grab a couple solid depth guys.

OT in Minny
ETA: Kane ends it and sends the Hawks to the conference finals.

Great series. Irony is that after 14 games played they will have the longest time off before the next round.
Problem with Pittsburgh was offense and not goaltending????
<----- guy whose team has a goal less Rick Nash
