Apparently, Bylsma put Malkin and Crosby on the same line? Ballsy decision. Who was the center?
He did that in Game 5, and for quite awhile, majority of their shifts...Crosby was the C.
Did it again in Game 6 quite a bit, but when it got to 3-0 and then 4-0 obviously not anymore.
Sutter got hurt and left in the 2nd in bad shape, then Vitale got hurt early in the 3rd and left, so the Pens were down to 2 centers, we were screwed had they tied it.

IMO Vitale's hit needs to be looked at.
It was a dirty hit and karma got the best of him on that one.

The tank is a tough place to play
It won't be easy at all for the kings
Can't wait

Vitale is a class act and a classy guy, and I've seen mixed reviews of the play.
I didn't see it myself, think I had stepped out for a bit when it happened.
Looks like Sutter should be fine, thankfully.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — “Good.”
That was the totality of the assessment I could cull from Brandon Sutter about his injury status Monday night as he stepped gingerly through the locker room following the Penguins' hang-on-for-dear-life, hide-the-women-and-children, it-just-had-to-be-4-3 elimination of Columbus in Game 6 of their Stanley Cup playoff series.

The Kings know the way to San Jose. Time to turn the sharks into fish sticks. #GKG

I went back after the game and looked at the hit again. Vitale clearly stuck his leg out, while Comeau's appeared to be essentially 90 degrees with the ice. Vitale definitely tried to swipe him.

in three elimination games, quick has given up 4 goals with a .958 GAA
Look at how he was after game 2 and you can see how much of a leader the guy is. he was not sulking, throwing teammates under the bus, or accepting defeat. That's a sign of a goalie who's been to the dance before and knows he can fight through these things. And it shows with how he's performed since then.

I didn't see Game 5 either.
The Pens have serious depth issues, but that's mainly Shero's doing. I really like Bylsma as a coach, as he really does a great job of maximizing the team's strengths while trying to shelter its gaping hole in the back end of the roster. There's a lot of top heavy rosters that aren't nearly as effective, and that's a credit to the coach.
Bad teams look at what they don't have and obsess over it. Good teams look at their assets and make the most of them. I was really hoping the Pens would lose this series, overreact, and fire Bylsma so the Caps could hire him. I think he's one of the very best coaches in the game, who really papers over Shero's flaws as a GM.

Preaching to the choir, dude. I am down with the Quick-ness. I will freely admit that I start sweating bullets when he ventures into the trapezoid, but I'd take him over any net minder in the league during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He is freaking nails when the pressure's on.

If you look at the video, Vitale had his head up the whole damn time while he was skating towards Comeau.
Comeau previously laid out a Pen on a totally legal hit (can't remember who it was.) and Vitale clearly took exception.
I don't think he necessarily was trying to go low, but he was looking to take a shot of some kind and then Blake turned right into him and Vitale stuck his knee out.

Speaking of that. Can't wait to watch the Flyers force a game 7 tonight. Simmonds shows up big tonight in a win for Philly!

No freakin way do the Flyers force a Game 7 unless they are playing the Hershey Bears.....

Good action so far in South Philly. Doc is even more excited than normal. Simmonds just got a putback goal.

He makes the game exciting. Plus he always has a little extra comment after a play, you have to listen closely.
