This is the time of the year when everyone says ‘OMG, *insert team name here* has *insert 4-5 big name players here*, they are going to be UNSTOPPABLE’, then said team proceeds to go 7-9 or worse

There’s more to football than just having big names on your roster. We see this shite every year..

Exactly, last year that team was the Rams, and look how that turned out...oh wait

If Francesa is saying that then the Browns really won this trade

Bro, get your shite together. You're saying two different things in this thread.

What?

Both sides win in this deal.

NYG shed cap space and add picks. They don’t need to pay anyone with their roster and where they’re at. Draft picks are the most valuable asset in the league to GM’s in the modern day NFL that isn’t a top 5 QB.

Browns don’t need the picks. They have plenty of cap space and need to add proven players/vets to mix with their young core.

It isn’t about either of them being right or wrong. The two teams are in two totally different places....one is building up and the other is building down. NYG are doing what’s Cleveland did a couple years back....getting rid of vets and accumulating picks and opening space so they can compete if Haskins or whomever they draft to succeed Eli is any good.

more like,

OBJ saw that the team was a dumpster fire and wanted out.

but hey that's only an opinion.

some notable Super Bowl LIV adjustments due to the Odell Beckham Jr trade from the Giants to the Browns ...

Browns 14/1 (from 25/1)
Steelers 30/1 (from 25/1)
Ravens 40/1 (from 30/1)
Giants 80/1 (from 40/1)

Did they win the Super Bowl? I’m not gonna get into the ‘they shouldn’t have been there’ shite, but come on man

I see why I’m getting so much shite about what I said.. maybe 7-9 was a bit low, but how many of these ‘superteams’ have won it all??

Here are the trade terms: Giants recieve a first-round pick in 2019 (No. 17 overall), the Browns' second third-round pick this year and S Jabril Peppers, source tells ESPN. Browns get Odell Beckham Jr.

So they gave up a first round pick and a frickin bum in Jabril Peppers. Great trade by Cleveland.

How is espn not breaking into a stupid rerun of around the horn for this trade? I get they probably can't push a CBB Game, but it just makes no sense not to take advantage of this move.

Oh, well, nfl network I will stay tuned to, I guess.

I mean I get it.

an injury or two there or a bad call there...

a missed FG.

it's a crazy game.

But at least Cleveland is finally showing some balls.
