I thought this part was rather obvious. But as we know with politics, some folks won't read or comprehend anything certain politicians say. Rather, they'll immediately try to find the best way to bash what they sad, like in this thread.

when it comes to smoking, there isn't really a debate. and this is coming from a former smoker
So, you're bashing Obama for doing exactly the same thing you just did in this statement?

That's rich.

How does that answer make him come off as a prick?

Because you don't like his answer?

No because he is the president of the United states and he is fear mongering, people who may have a dream to play football may not pursue those dreams

Just on so many levels it's dick

I bet he won't discourage people in joining the military which is quite risky

The game has been demonized quite a bit and I'm defending it. Especially if it's someones free choice to play it.

I really wish he would just shut the ever loving frick up sometimes. True to his ego, he believes everyone is waiting with bated breath for his "take" on any topic imaginable.
Well this was a stupid thing to say. He was asked a question.

Was any other president ask this question ever?

Why are they asking this one?

Because they care about his beliefs? I mean he doesn't even have a son

And to think a sitting president saying he wouldn't allow his son to play football isn't going to discourage someone is crazy

not reading anything that indicates he thinks football is more dangerous or even equally dangerous as smoking. All he said was that at this point people who choose to smoke or play football know from the beginning that there are certain health risks involved with their decision. Not exactly an earth shattering statement. There's plenty to dislike about Obama but some of the posts in here are ridiculous.

THIS. I can understand people not agreeing with his political views but the hatred for this man is insane.

Why should we care about what he thinks about pro football? He has bigger fish to fry.

Yeah I'm no fan of Obama, but it's sad the leaps in logic people will make just to trash him.

This thread is tame compared to some of the shite I've read on the Poli Board.
