Not sure whether you're being sarcastic, but in the 1906 there were almost 20 fatalities in the college game, so obviously the game was in trouble. The forward pass was then invented, opening up the game.

Banned? What are you talking about?

You didn't stop to think that maybe he was asked about it because it's entertainment that millions of people spend billions of dollars on.

I mean, c'mon man.

TR, as was previously stated. Because it was part of the public narrative at the time.

Why are they asking this one?

Because it's part of the public narrative now.

Are you being intentionally obtuse, or are you just not capable of grasping the concept?

The concept I get, it's the game that's being demonized day in day out...I have a problem with that. It's a known dangerous sport and saying you would not let you child play professional football is extreme.

At what point does a person have a choice to take a certain risk in anything they chose to do?

This. The guy was asked a question and gave his opinion. I wouldn't stop my son but I don't want him playing football either. It's an opinion a lot of parents share.

If anything other than the words "I resign" come out if his mouth, nearly every jimmy here gets completely rustled. It's really sad.

You say that, but your reason for him being asked the question wasn't that obvious answer, it was so he could do a little fear mongering.

It's not extreme for a parent to try and limit their children to dangerous activity. Maybe he shouldn't have specified "pro football". But if you don't let your kid play pop warner or high school football, they have very little chance of playing pro.

And a parent limiting their child's choice is nothing new in any facet.

Obama made no comment about changes needing to be made or ending the game. In fact, his comment more emphasizes that people shouldn't be able to sue a private business for damages sustained while participating in a known dangerous activity. Conservatives should be thrilled with that.

Yes it was imo, to say I wouldn't let my young child play is one thing, but at a certain point a young man should have the right to make that decision.

He said he wouldn't let his son play professional football and it's extreme and foolish answer.

I'm sure he could stop a 21 year old athlete from playing professional football, son or not.
