If Brian was coaching they wouldn't have been in the game in the 4th quarter. See LSU/FSU, 2023.

I’ll give them this - they were much more competitive. Kelly would have had his doors blown off in this type of game.

the only consolation is that we lost by 3 points instead of 3 tds. beating bama last year at lsu is far and away kelly's biggest win in his d1 career. kelly greatly benefitted from southern cal being bad during his entire tenure in south bend. his biggest win was clemson w/o trevor lawrence during the covid year and they mopped the floor with us later in the year with lawrence.
