Has there ever been a shittier team to make the BCS Championship game?

Or MNC game pre BCS, for that matter?

OSU 2007 was pretty poor. My recollection is that they didn't beat anyone of note (did they play a top 10 team?), and lost at home to an unranked Illinois.

I can't wait till a playoff begins so these teams can stop being rewarded for winning out on a turrible schedule. While Notre Dame's schedule looked real tough at the beginning of the season, all of their "tough opponents" stunk it up. Yea I dont like Notre Dame

It made me cringe to see an advertisement today that their spring game will be nationally televised. An even shittier version of the 2012 team playing against themselves. Yippie.

Maybe 2001 Nebraska, blown out by Colorado but they did beat #2 Oklahoma. Didn't matter who played Miami that year they were going to lose.

Everyone knew going into the game this year Notre Dame was going to get destroyed

Isn't he an OH St fan? They don't really have room to talk.

The real championship game was Bama - UGA for SEC title - BCS was nothing more than a bowl game.

They really should stop playing in BCS games.

0-3, average score 41-12

Its even worse, they are actually 0-4. Average score 40-14. Closest loss was by 14 to Ohio State.

21-0 and only 1 offensive play on Bama's side of the 50. Not saying they were the worst team to ever play in a NCG but it was definitely up there as one of the worst showings...definitely the worst offensive display by far.

It was a bad showing, but that LSU team would have rolled up ND by 17+.

Although LSU's offensive performance was putrid, remember that the 2006 Ohio State team put up a whopping 82 total yards (35 passing, 47 rushing) against Florida.

LSU 2011 was the best team ever to not win the title. Shittiest performance in the title game though I agree. They beat the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, and if not for ESPN the Sugar Bowl Champions that year. Most dominant season ever. Then Les shite the bed on 1/9.

shite the bed? No, his baffling QB choice finally caught up to him. Then no matter how horrible JJ was he wouldn't put in Lee. shite the bed? Les Miles quit.
