Y'all need to stop.
Your cope is silly & pathetic.
Enjoy the game, It's frigging Ohio State vs Notre Dame for all the marbles.

I agree with shortened regular season and then I’d do any home playoff games while school is still in so students don’t have to come back from break to attend games.

Absolutely. For instance, if I had dictatorial powers over the sport of college football starting January 21, I would do the following:

- No Week 0. Week 1 would begin on Thursday, August 28 and go through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. The final weekend of the regular season would, of course, be Thanksgiving weekend (November 27-29).

- There would be no conference championship games and the CFP would seed based upon the 12 best teams regardless of whether they are conference champions or not. The top four teams receive byes.

- Round 1 and the quarterfinals would be on-campus events played over back-to-back weeks. Round 1 would be played on December 5-6 while Round 2 would be played on December 12-13 to facilitate students being present on campus before going home for the holiday break.

- The semifinals would then take place on December 20 at a neutral bowl game site that would be rotated between the following bowl games: Peach, Citrus, Fiesta, and Cotton.

- The two finalists would then have a bye week between the semifinals and the national championship game, to be played on January 1 or 2 (depending on if New Year's Day falls on a Sunday), and rotated between the following three bowl games: Orange, Sugar, and Rose.

Is CFB still going on? Last games I watched were Texas v ASU and Minnesota v. Virginia. I feel like that was a month or two ago.

I hate that CFB has been ruined. Hope everyone who wanted this shite is happy.

Being married to the NY6 bowls is going to kill this completely. The other shite wrong you can fix. You can’t fix this without telling the NY6 to frick off which they won’t do.

Ideal is finding a way for this to end maybe a week max after new years.

An estimated 70 million people tuned in to watch the 1987 Fiesta Bowl between #1 Miami and #2 Penn State.

How will you even know who wins since none of you are going to watch the game ?

This is a college football message board. Of course we are watching.

That doesnt mean there isnt a lack of buzz.

Trust us. outside of yalls circles its insanely quiet

Amazing Notre Dame forgets that Brian Kelly took them to a natty final and two final fours

I guess so. I mean, those were some really bad, forgettable performances.

And Georgia, an SEC team, was the lowest rated game.

This and it's two teams from the same area of the country that nobody outside of their fanbases really cares about watching all that much.

Georgia to Alabama is 4 miles further than Notre Dame to OSU. Alabama to Clemson is about 50 miles further. I doubt the proximity of the teams is the issue.

Depends on how you define “buzz”. Quick look at Stubhub - nose bleed tickets are $2500 per ticket. Lower levels up to $8k per ticket. That’s insane.

I was one of them - I do remember that game being lauded as the most watched -

graphic I posted referred to ratings since the Bowl Coalition was formed in 1992 -

This thread would not exist if a SEC team was in the game.

you should study up on how ratings are counted - Georgia boat-raced TCU 65-7 early and people tuned out - kinda like the second lowest rated CG when Alabama boat-raced Ohio State 52-24 and people tuned out
