We also don’t even know the legitimacy of her crime. This happened at the beginning of the war when the US and other countries were condemning Russia and getting their people out of there. I have never been convinced she ever had anything on her.

God what a shite show of a situation. What a joke of an arrest, imprisonment, and trial. I feel bad for her.

Under their law, it's not a joke. You and her and I can disagree with the merits of the law all day long, but she was in Russia and did/should have known it.

So do I, but again, no one forced her to be in Russia. And were I there, I sure as frick wouldn't be knowingly breaking laws to get a little high. Seriously, one of the most retarded things a person could do

O get a life dude. It was a freaking vape pen with cbd/thc oil. Let's not act like she was trying to smuggle coke or pounds of marijuana in. For all we know it was medically prescribed for her. I have a vape pen prescribed by an MD for epilepsy. You can't even get high off of it unless you're just puffing away. And that would be the dumbest way to ever get high because it would be 10x as expensive as just smoking a joint. It's a ridiculous situation.

She has said in the past that she travels with stuff

Im not sure how much denying what is obvious will do

All we know is she had "vape cartridges". No idea how many.

Not hard to believe.

You realize Biden's DOJ his holding political prisoners for just walking around public spaces right?

US still has American citizens locked in solidarity confine, without due process, for Jan. 6 protest...Naw on that one for awhile...

I never said she didn'y break the law or that it was a smart decision. The US Government agrees with me that she is being falsely imprisoned. Russia is making a show of it.

Honest question... Let's say you're smarter than her, I don't doubt that, but, if you happened to have done something stupid like her, would you think you'd deserve to be in jail for four months over a vape pen?

It's legal here, a PAX pen is about $80 and the oil to fill it is around the same price. People are trying to act like she committed a crime that is befitting of the punishment. Just because she did something stupid doesn't mean the punishment she is getting is justifiable.

I don't think you understand, it's not what you or I or the United States government think she "dererves"

We don't get to dictate Russian law. We can say that it's harsh or wrong or whatever we want, but that's their legal doctrine. I guess you could advocate we go to war with them to overthrow their government and set forth new law, but outside of that, their land, their rules.

If she ever had any thoughts in the last few years about how "racist" America is, hopefully this journey she's about to experience really opens her eyes.

I can 1000% promise you she'll never bad mouth this country again after living in a Russian prison

Yes and that time is thankfully over. Nobody does 10 years for this anymore in the US. If you do jail time at all, it’s bc you’re a repeat offender.

I mean, we all know that and is anybody even arguing otherwise? We can still say it’s fricked up.

Except her own family has never denied it. They never came out and said, she never used, it's a farce. They've admitted she used.

Is she being punished above and beyond? I haven’t seen them recommend a longer than normal sentence.

I’m sorry but giving a max sentence isn’t above and beyond.
