They have the best athlete training facility in the nation. Whatever they do with their football stadium will be top notch. They are basically the opposite of lsu when it comes to projects

I spent 2 full minutes trying to figure out just where in the frick in Natchitoches there is water like that before I realized it was Chicago.
Did the same wondering why the OP came out swinging so hard on the Southland conference team

They just put bleachers up by the practice field while they finish the new stadium. Put another way, this is a really awesome practice field on Lake Michigan that happens to have enough space to seat 20k.

Northwestern’s campus and that area in particular is absolutely beautiful. The views of the Chicago skyline from there are great.

This. It’s a cool, niche thing that is only temporary. It’s not like northwestern is packing a 100k stadium every weekend. Bunch of drama queens in here

I think this Buckeye fan cares more about the temp stadium than the actual NW fans

It couldn't be bigger because there's not much parking in the area.

It's gonna be windy AF. They should play at Soldier Field.

Or even Wrigley. The novelty alone is bound to bring at least 5k per game

For temporary...that's not bad and would be fun to be next to the lake.

That stadium is awkward at shite with both sides of the stands being behind the endzone. Has anyone ever seen a stadium like this before?

Making a note to watch Ohio State on Nov. 16 and Illinois on Nov. 30. They should have a great time with the November Chicago winds there

Don’t think it’s embarrassing at all. Actually kinda unique and pretty awesome. Not every game needs to be an SEC sized stadium dick measuring contest.

Northwestern will never fill that new stadium unless they are playing michigan or ohio state

Should have built a nice 50k max stadium

They only averaged 20K fans last year anyways.

Completely absurd that in a rapidly changing collegiate environment we continue to allow decisions from 100 years ago to dictate the distribution of 75 + million a year, with current value playing no role. Northwestern and Vandy wouldn’t even get an ACC or Big 12 invite, yet we pay them Alabama and Ohio State distributions just because.

I can’t believe a team of architects got together, came up with that, looked at it and said, “this is the one.” And then another group of people looked at it and said, “yep. That’s the one. Release it to the public.” I’ve seen high schools with better layouts

Weird how some of you are acting like a school that averaged 20.8k last year needs something bigger or more impressive than what they will use for all of *checks notes* 10 or so games over two seasons.

The pics are misleading, it's actually only a 35K capacity stadium.

SEC and Big 10 conference business is not subject to FOIA requests because Vandy and Northwestern are private schools. I'd say that hold some value.
