But imagine how much the free throw thing would have hurt him. He would have netted basically zero points per trip to the stripe.

Also, it seems like the “doesn’t hit rim” thing would either be super subjective or take up a ton of time on replays.

One study is not conclusive evidence. I’m not saying it’s not true, but there is a lot of anti North Korea propaganda from South Korea and the West. Nothing compared to their propaganda of course, but it does go both ways to an extent.

For instance the thing about Kim mandating everyone get his exact haircut is factually incorrect. There are tons of videos from inside N Korea and hardly any of the men have his haircut.

Could make all free throws worth +2 points for a make and -1 point for a miss, but that would probably breed more Harden style players, and wouldn’t be worth a shite to watch

Not really, it would be less incentivized to get fouled than our system, no matter how good of free throw shooter one is.

How do you figure? If you shoot 80% on 100 shots in the current system you score 80 points, if you shoot 80% on 100 shots in a system where you get +2 for a make and -1 for a miss you score 140 points. You’d have to shoot worse than 50% for the system I proposed to be less incentivized.

Oh I just saw you proposed your own system and weren’t referring to the OP rules. Yes you’re right, in the system you proposed, which just disproportionately favors good free throw shooters.
