Used to, mentally ill men who wanted to go to the bathroom with little girls would read the sign on the door that said "women" and then not proceed because if there's one thing that mentally ill men who want to go to the bathroom don't do, it's break rules.

Good this bill was dumb to begin with. It was implemented by republicans that want to discriminate pointlessly.

So when did mental illness become a civil right? You are either a man or a woman and if THINK you are something else, you are mentally ill! How about treating that .03 percent of the population for that mental illness and let normal men and women live?

I just don't give a frick about bathrooms.

When your wife and little girl go into the ladies bathroom, and then followed by an insane creepy guy who claims he's a woman. I admit it's rare in the south but weird as crap!

Less government control, except when we want certain things enforced.

Distraction from paying close attention to the movement of money is always the point.

I am surprised that the LGBTQPXYZ Community hasn't had California or Massachusetts force business to install gender and sexual identity specific bathrooms.

The way it's going there will be a separate bathroom for family, straight men, straight women, gay men, lesbians, tranny men, tranny women, pedos, gender-neutral/asexuals, polyamororus groups, dendrophiliacs, necrophiliacs, and so on.

And this is what businesses will respond with.

I love this.

When social progress meets capitalism. Take that crap and shite back to the shitty 1950s

America was made greater today because of this repeal.

The social issue aside a second. Is it the NCAAs place as a non-profit to be getting involved on a States social matter the way they did? Also, wondering if they held the UNC stuff over their heads too, and not just the tournament stuff.

Will be interesting to see where the battle between TX, and the NCAA will go here. The NCAA is starting to make this a cross state lines deal, so may end up at the fed level at some point. If so, wonder if Pence will pay the NCAA back for them throwing threats around when IN was trying to make some similar topic laws.

Frankly just tired of all the new "norms". Who can keep up, and why am I the bad person for just keeping it simple at "men have penis', and women have vaginas." As it's been since the beginning of human time.

This law was never enforceable in practice. What would be required to prevent someone from entering into the "wrong bathroom"? A genital exam? That would be held unconstitutional. Checking their birth certificate? That's just not practical.

So why in the hell did the NC Republicans pass the law to begin with? Is there an epidemic of transgendered persons assaulting people in restrooms that I'm unaware of?

Further, because the law is essentially unenforceable, why didn't they repeal the law when the state started hemmoraging business?

Look, Im not an expert on these matters, but i think transgender might be a mental disorder. But, this was simply grandstanding by the NC GOP. This law did nothing beyond making transgender people feel uncomfortable and hurting the state financially
