I don't like it but I'm not going to pretend he is a loser or quitter. He is making a decision that he thinks is best for his post collegiate career

that is the issue. HIS career. Selfish, self centered and completely quitting on the people that helped him get there. Without those other guys, no draft exist for JD or any of the other quitters.

career ending injury

You have a higher risk of getting murdered in the hood than this happening. Its a cop out. Chad Jones career ended on a car wreck. I guess he should have "opted out" of driving.

but if he were my son I would advise him to not play tomorrow.

then why not advise him to not play against Texas AM? That game meant nothing, the season was already settled. What if he had a "career ending injury" against aTm? It's okay if its one game earlier?

Call them quitters. Don’t give them a pass. That’s what they are.

Wtf does the NCAA have to do with this?

Establishing the portal and making players immediately eligible when transferring.

This handcuffs the programs and makes it a free for all.

Flip the side for a second, what exactly did UGA players get for winning all the while risking millions of future dollars?

A win. In the case of the draft-bound players, they helped their teammates get a win in the last game of the season. In some of their teammates’ cases, that will be the last football game they ever play.

The people who say these games are meaningless are being intentionally obtuse.
