Call them quitters. Don’t give them a pass. That’s what they are. What the Florida State quitters did to that program and the players on that roster is disgraceful. A great team and season will now be remembered for a 60 point bowl blowout because of a group that quit on their brothers yet have the nerve to show up on the sidelines wearing jerseys. What a bunch of hypocrites.

The quitters believe they are more important than the rest of the team that fought, bled and sacrificed to put the selfish, self centered quitters in a position to believe they are above the rest of the team. Without the team, the post season awards and status of the self centered would not materialize.

You can’t live your life worrying about injury or bad luck. The chances of career ending injury in a bowl is incredibly low and using that as a reason is a cop out.

If the bowl isn’t important then neither is the last game of the season or any game after you lose 2 games, so quit then.

Lou Holtz said it best when asked what is the difference in football players today and 50 years ago.

He answered "Simple, Today's athletes talk about rights and privileges. And the players 50 years ago talked about obligations and responsibilities To me that describes society today.”

The NCAA and selfishness are making CFB a circus.

I would opt out in their situation. Just keeping it real.

Good to know the arrogant, self centered and selfish that would quit on the people that put them in that position.

If I’m a high draft pick I’m not playing in these games. Flip the side for a second, what exactly did UGA players get for winning all the while risking millions of future dollars? It’s a meaningless exhibition game at this point. That’s what the play off system has created. Bowls should eventually just die with the expanded playoffs. You don’t see D2 and D3 bowls, just their playoffs.

He’s on the list. The players and program that made him a Heisman winner are being betrayed. He’s not what he is without them and some quickly forget where they came from.

What's the difference between opting out of a meaningless bowl game as opposed to going pro with a year or two of eligibility remaining? Either way you decided against helping your team win, abandoned your "brothers" for selfish reasons. Make them play every game until their eligibility is exhausted, that's what I say!

Get real.

They won every game. They did everything they possibly could and were told it wasn’t good enough because their QB broke his leg vs a crappy FCS team in a game that shouldn’t even have been played. Why should they feel obligated to play after that? When an employer absolutely screws over an employee, do we expect the employee to finish the job without additional compensation because it’s the “right” thing?

It’s a two way street.

You clowns don’t realize it was a mutual decision between JD and the coaches to let Nuss get a warmup game.

That’s the problem, it’s not about the individual but the program and brothers that gave them the stage to one day make millions. Loyalty, respect, honor and how about doing the right thing for the people that did right by you.

And you’re one of the problems with this country as a whole today. F’N quitters! Bunch of self centered, arrogant, entitled punks.

Remember, karma is a bitch.

Just keeping it honest and real.

Including letting their teammates, coaching staff, fan base and program get embarrassed on national tv. Disgraceful.

What exactly did the program get? To say they won an exhibition game? Bowl games are basically NFL pre season games at this point just after the season.

It’s easy to call them names and say you wouldn’t do it until you’re in their shoes. It’s life changing money for a person like Jayden Daniels.

Fair comparison. I was thinking Spring Game

I think even you can figure out the difference in a decision after the season and screwing the brothers that helped you earn that opportunity.

If the bowl is meaningless so is every game after 2 losses. Just quit then instead of waiting.

It was for Chad Jones too whose career was ended in a car wreck. Should he have opted out of driving?

It’s the age we are living in. When a player makes a tackle and then jumps up running around with the look at me crap, he fails to realize it took other players doing their job to make that happen. It’s all about self
