I will gladly stipulate that the policeman may have had pure motives in telling her. But his lack of following protocol throughout the entire case makes that point more suspicious looking. If he follows protocol in the rest of the case, it ends up looking a lot less important.

I'm not so sure you understand how our legal system works.
Lol, so now you're saying you haven't been saying she is the one guilty? You haven't been co-signing the posts about her being the one charged for lying and attacking her here at one time daily?
You have literally said she is a lying whore, Jameis is completely innocent, an angel being wrongly accused. Not once have you even entertained any other notion.
It is funny that now the black man actually has support. Usually being good at a sport or entertainment can get it.

This thread has proved to me just how important our legal system is. Many people in here were ready to lock him up based on TMZ and the accusers story alone
Just another ridiculous example of people convicting with out knowing shite. It was on full display with Zimmerman and has been here.
Hopefully he truly didn't do it. I don't think he did. Some chick was pissed she was a side piece and mad.
I'll enjoy watching him rape Ohio State in January.

My point is for an alleged rape victim who immediately the occurrence to not even get the chance to have her case heard in court, specifically due to how things were handled by the police who were bias? How does this okay?
I understand the point you're trying to make. This may still go to trial but none of us here have seen the evidence presented to Meggs. We don't even know if there were bruises, etc. on the accuser that night, Meggs does. We have only heard her side of the story.
We have no idea what was presented to Meggs by Jansen/Winston. You can't send the guy to trial if there isn't enough to charge him on.
If she has enough on her side, it will go to trial. You can't just send this to trial if there is a lack of evidence or holes in the accuser's story, etc.

The media was devastatingly one-sided in this case. TMZ almost got Jameis "emmett tilled".
Media saw an opportunity for one of those special news stories where all the hot button factors (interracial, sex, sports, athlete, police corruption, etc.) converge and would make this the next story of the year.
TMZ treated this story like it was going to be a blockbuster and ran it at the very top.
Now on the verge of a special press conference from the State Attorney, I can't find it on their front page. The top story is about Jay Z, Beyonce, and Anne Hathaway having a meatless lunch. I scroll down and see stories about Paul Walker, Bieber, The Game, Drake, but nothing on Jameis Winston.
interesting!

For the record the detective didn't tell the accuser that, he told her lawyer, which is highly unusual.

How about the American stance of right to a fair trial, and innocent until proven guilty. Pursuant to the constitution.
Are you simple? That is all I am asking for. That the girl and him get a fair trail to sort this out. That the corruption of the police not dictate justice for either party.

Holy shite. And you're saying that's the way it should be? You may get banned for that remark, and I wouldn't have a problem with that.
Yeah, I'm black douche. I was speaking from experience. If you read this thread earlier I spoke of me getting away with acting out as a freshman solely because I was a highly touted recruit. I have experience in this, I know what I am talking about.
I don't know if Jameis did do this or not. What I do know is the police knew what they were doing and in no time were they not acting in the best interest of Florida State University.

I've been saying that based on the rumors her story likely doesn't add up.

What in the world are you trying to say?

I take rape allegations seriously. Not a joke to me like it is or some of you losers. I've seen both sides, wrongly accused and not. I just feel if you're innocent clear yourself, show high character by not hiding behind anything and moving above this.
As a black man having something like this linger is terrible. You're already forced to have to prove yourself/character twice more than the next person. Why allow your name to be sullied if you are clean?

The fact that there's no charges being pressed means there's some big holes in the story, IMO. This ain't the 50s and boy's clubs don't run the show. If he's not moving forward, he feels pretty confident. Just my $.02.

Yeah you're still an idiot and I still have a strong point.
Oh and way to go being so clueless not to see I was speaking as a black man. I bet you're all OMG he's black!

Because law enforcement has a ton of experience and can twist anything you say if necessary.

The rule of law should apply to everyone and everyone equally. Your experiences as a black man have absolutely nothing to do with this. Get that through your head.

For all we know he is innocent, but they have had 11 months to cover up, tie up lose ends and get their stories straight.
If I commit a crime, am notified I am a suspect, lawyer up and have the police talk down the victims representatives I have time to cover my basis. Especially when the police strongly support the group I am a part of.

I get what you're saying. But I doubt Meggs would be ok if he thought the police bungled the investigation so badly that it made it harder to press charges. I think he'd plow ahead to prove a point. He has been very publicly critical of the police handling of the case, calling it a "cluster" on the record.
