obviously a poor choice

i think it's ridiculous to argue to defend his judgment

large difference in that lapse in judgment and sexual assault/rape

that is true.

but I've also never said if I think he did it or not.

I don't know.

Though from afar, the actions of the TPD don't look good.

Whoever is involved in this cover up is a real piece of shite. They need to be prosecuted, all of them. Probably will actually.

How do you know it is a cover up?

My roommate freshman year just got his heart broken by his long-term girlfriend, and these two girls that were best friends were interested in him. Well he didn't like one of them and refused her advances when he did have that girlfriend, but when he was single, the girl he rejected dumped her best friend onto him. The other girl slept over in our dorm (which was literally the size of a broom closet with two beds in it), and I even left the room for them to have "alone time" at her request. The next day the girl he rejected and the girl he slept with both confronted him telling him he basically HAD to get into a relationship with this girl. He declined and said he literally just got out of a long-term relationship. So that night they call him over to their dorm at like 3 AM to say they were afraid of him and that somehow he forced her into sex. I was there, there was nothing forced about it. She asked ME to leave the room so they could bang.

Long story short, they went to the cops and the cops called him down to the campus PD. I went with him and they explained that they were thinking of pressing charges for sexual assault. My testimony saved him because I literally watched this entire thing unfold. He wasn't pursued for charges but had to go to a disciplinary hearing and was found not guilty there as well. These girls almost ruined his life because he had been reluctant to date her the day after sleeping with her.

Not saying this happened here, but things honestly can go from simple encounters to "he raped me! clearly he had no interest in wanting to date me so what we did didn't matter. It's rape!".

Again, I'm not a rape enabler, this is just my first hand experience of when I was a college freshman and watching things unfold. Legitimate rapes happen. It's awful and traumatizing. But sometimes people let their emotions get in the way of the truth.

The only thing I don't understand how it could be consensual is why did she contact the police practically right after it happened and have a rape kit done? Doesn't add up if she was just pissed for being a side piece.

Is there a link for this? City officials meaning the mayor or chief of police?

Yeah that's the part that makes it seem like it was rape. She went right after the event. No one slept over anywhere.

The theory is

Since his GF arrived from out of town 6 hrs later....

He was basically telling her to GTFO since he couldnt be with her.

LINK

Looks like communication between PD and mayors office, and FSU officials. Awful lot of conflict of interest one would think
quote:

In the email, Favors Thompson said the Tallahassee Police Department followed up on the case referred to it by Florida State University police “against FSU football player Jameis Winston” by a woman who indicated she was intoxicated at a local bar and was taken advantage of while impaired. TPD initiated an investigation and began to interview witnesses and compile details on the case, but stopped getting responses from the woman and could no longer contact her.

quote:

“Shortly thereafter a representative of the young woman’s family who is an attorney contacted TPD and said the young woman had changed her mind and did not wish to prosecute,” the email said.

quote:

The city not only alerted commissioners, but also the office of FSU President Eric Barron, the FSU police chief and the woman’s attorney.

According to the police report she couldn't ID him that night. She didn't know who he was. So why would she care if some random dude had a girlfriend or not?

Police report also said he was 5'9

Doesnt mean that its true.

Then again. The rumor is they have known each other for a while.

Right now its all clutter to more facts come out.

It is interesting that that girl is not perusing the case until after Jameis becomes famous and a nation wide name. I wonder if all she wants is money to make it go away?

It is interesting that you believe she is only pursuing the case now despite her attorney's statements to the contrary.

I was surprised to see she was still on campus quite honestly.. I thought she left after seeing how the police botched this.

But I dont think thats the case. By all reports its someone else who leaked this.
