the Greenies getting Nico would be interesting
If he wanted big money from them, he should have announced he was doing this during Mardi Gras while all of the Tulane folks were drunk.

Ah Rashada! Poster-child for.today's wild wild west clown show that is CFB.

Lets summarize how Rashada has spent more time with attorneys than football coaches the last two years...

1. Commits to Miami.

2. Florida and Billy Napier allegedly offer Rashada a Brinks truck and the Deed to Xanadu to play for the Gators.

3. Rashada de-committs from Miami in two seconds and signs with the Gators.

4. Rashada wants his $$$$ , Florida says, "not so fast my friend".

5. Rashada de-commits from Florida and signs with Arizona State.

6. Rashada files a lawsuit against the University of Florida for fraudulent misrepresentation/inducement, conspiracy to commit fraud and negligent misrepresentation.

7. Rashada leaves Arizona State and Portals to big daddy's pocket Georgia

6. After another one and done season, Rashada once again enters the Portal....slowly realizing he's not the next John Elway.

What are supposed grownups (Universities, Coaches, NCAA, lawmakers) doing here? Bunch of pom-pom waving arrested development children in bed with this chaos.

Blaming Tennessee’s offense is certainly a choice. Hendon Hooker went from a backup at VT to a heisman candidate at UT. Joe Milton would’ve been a superstar at UT if he could hit the broad side of a barn.

Documentaries will be made about Rashada’s story. Saw on X that he had an official Western Kentucky visit a few weeks ago

+ UCLA has been the constant here.
+ Will be taking a pay cut vs. TN deal.
+ Moved On3 NIL Valuation / Roster Value to $1.5 M on Monday. That is likely the deal.
+ "Claiming it is not about money," can be a fair statement, but doesn't change the fact -- despite reports -- that the Iamaleave camp was demanding more money. Word salad.
+ Simply a difference of perception vs. perspective.
+ Nico has terrific talent, but this one will follow him for a while. Time to do some proactive damage control.

This entire situation is so fricking stupid and I’m not sure it could’ve been handled more poorly if they tried. I almost feel bad for Nico getting yanked around by his dad and the handler like this.

If Nico is homesick or just didn’t like UT, I get it. But my god, earning $2+ million this season while likely making a big jump in his 2nd year as starter and 3rd full year in a proven QB friendly system sounds a lot better than the current situation he’s headed to at UCLA

UCLA and the Iamaleava family both must be desperate. Nico’s little brother is also a QB and just screwed UCLA by flipping to Arkansas on signing day.

Fast forward a few months, and the Iamaleavas come crawling back to UCLA, and the Bruins welcome them back with open arms.

UCLA is shitty but they basically just had a 5 star qb with a year of playing experience, likely at a cut rate, fall into their lap. Pretty good deal for them.

Seeing social media chatter that he's getting "somewhat north of $1 million" and the new party line from Daddy and his buddy is that it was never about money, "It was about the Tennessee offense."

And from a quick look through the UCLA boards ... there are some ... fans seen rather lukewarm about this. They just signed Appy State's QB who had much better stats than Nico last year ... yes, I'm aware the competition level was different.

And for those who may have missed it, UCLA hired Vinnie Sunseri's brother, who was co-offensive coordinator and QB coach for Indiana last year, as their OC so they're trying to get a little serious.

And apparently Joey Aguilar, the Appy State transfer, according to On3, is saying “#$&* this” and exploring his options.

UCLA was one of the worst offenses in the country last year

Their transfer class had volume (21) but not a single 4 or 5-star

Their new OC has 1 year of coordinator experience, in which he was Co-OC and the more junior of the two

Congrats on getting Nico an upgrade on offense, frickheads

Yeah I don't expect this to signal a drastic reversal of their fortunes.

It doesn't look like will happen because it looks like he's trying to head elsewhere now ... I despise this wide open portal but there's a part of me in this case that can't blame him ... but the most poetic justice would be for the Appy State transfer to kick Nico's arse in practice and win the job.
