They said he would not present nor touch the trophy because of Covid nor the Stanley Cup when taking the picture. Unless I misheard

It's a superstitious thing. Some Captains chose to touch the conference championship trophy, others do not. It's actually always a fun thing to watch to see if he touches it or not. Nothing to do with Covid (yes I did hear that comment too, which was dumb).

I wish the TV networks would just ditch all the extra pointless camera angles. They don't enhance the broadcast. I'm good with the traditional camera angle from the side during live action. Eliminate the other annoying angles or only use them for replay.

Your goalie was brilliant this series. But you won in spite of him the previous series. Not because of him. And if the Avalanche were as invincible as you make them out to be, they wouldn't have scored a pathetic 6 goals against you in the regular season.

Iginla touched it in 2004. And Flames fans still lament that to this day. Even though it had nothing to do with the outcome the next series.
