Agreed. Issue is NBA players are the best athletes in the world (I don’t think players in the other major leagues dispute this).

That said think NHL is a way better live product than any sport.

1,000% correct… the nba has fallen off bigtime and that farce of an all star weekend surely didn’t help.

The NBA has flown the coop since Kobe retired. If they would've not brought in politics into it, the ratings would still be good. Rest assured, David Stern wouldn't put up with this woke bullshite. Plus the game is nothing more than pick up basketball, jacking up 50 3's a game.

It's Lebron's fault. His weird competitiveness, his me-first holier-than-thou attitude, and his politics have permeated the league.

He never once did the dunk contest. The bullshite started there and then grew into the biggest ego in sports. He is the least likeable top athlete of my life. And at one point long ago, when he first came into the league, i really liked him. Kevin Durant too. But they let their shitty attitudes outgrow their amazing talents.

National Pride isn’t much in the NBA. Have you seen these clowns play in the Olympics? You think an in season national tournament would do anything? They would all sit out.

Like a fart in the wind it will all disappear once nhl starts again

It’s the same as soccer after World Cup gets a little momentum here. And I’m saying that as a hockey fan.

They just sent an elite roster to last summer’s olympics, won gold, and you had guys like Jaylen Brown pissed that they were left out.

Ridiculous thing to claim. Only a handful of countries play the sport …it’s very niche and not pure at all

Too bad Team USA doesn't play in the NHL so it doesn't really matter

I don’t disagree.

But would they still be that way after years of making 10x the amount of money? You might sit a guy in the all-star tourney if he’s making $47M per year.

I would guess NBA players are the worst athletes out of any of the major sports. Basketball is literally all about size. You can be a great basketball player just based on how tall you happen to be regardless of athletic ability, strength, speed, etc.

It’s wild these players are getting paid more and more for their increasingly lackluster effort now a days. There has to be a pull back eventually in salaries.

NHL has the best playoffs of the major sports. You're missing out.

I have no idea how these TV networks are finding any return on their investment with ratings tanking every year.

Salaries won't drop until TV revenue does.
