I just read the end of the thread. Not a huge fan of season long threads.

You must have tuned out here 3 years ago. He was constantly whining about it and Milbury the whole playoffs. So guess what will be oh so predictable when the Kraken expansion draft takes place after the season?

It sounds awesome in summer. But I bet winter is a different story.

We went in late spring the first time in 2014. Beginning of June. There was still snow banked up on the mountain pass and up in the mountains. Down in the valley in Saratoga was good. The N.Platte was rushing from the snow melt.

The second time we went in August. In 2017. They have a short summer there and we hit it right in the middle of it. Everything was in full bloom.

Here are a few pictures of Medicine Bow Peak:

Like I said earlier, heaven on Earth.

NHL 2021 Season Long Thread by Bunk Moreland
I'm also mostly watching Pens/Isles on NHLN. The tributes to Sid for his 1,000th game have been cool.

Aww. I missed it. I'll watch it later.

Top-5 player ever. If not top-3.

No he isn’t

Gretzky
Howe
Believue
LaFluer
Richard
Mario Lemiuex

All are light years better than Crosby.

That is just thinking quickly

You can argue intelligently Sid isn’t even the best of his generation

Pens take the lead! Tanger!

Another blue-line score! Love it.

If Pens win in regulation, they'll be tied for 2nd.

C'mon dude. You can do better.
Gretzky & Howe. No argument. Top-2 ever. Mario you could switch w/Howe and the other one is 3. Can't go wrong. I personally have Mario #2 and Howe 3. If Mario had stayed healthy he would of pushed for the GOAT.

Richard is definitely top-7 or 8. No way in hell is he top-5.

My top 8:
Gretzky
Mario
Howe
Orr
Sid(can go higher if he plays another 4-5 years and wins another Cup or two. )
Ovi
Richard
Jagr

And if you are making an argument that he ain't the greatest player of his generation, you're high. I know you're gonna say Ovi, and I get it. And if it weren't for Sid, he would be. He is arguably the greatest pure goal scorer the game has ever seen, even moreso than Gretzky, and I have nothing but respect for him(I used to hate his guts). But he IS NOT the two-way player that Sid is and has been his entire career. Sid can do it all. Has 3 Cups(and has played for a 4th), saved hockey(along w/Mario) in Pittsburgh, and has that rare combo of speed, skill, and goal-scoring prowess. He is the greatest player of his generation and one of the greatest of all-time. If he can win another Cup or two, he's top-3 all time IMO.

Just something else to chew on SMS:

Most Points Through First 1,000 Games in #NHL History:

P. Esposito - 1,333
S. Yzerman - 1,323

Sidney Crosby has 1,278 through 1,000 career games

Looks like the hiking would be incredible. I want to go skiing someday. I heard Jackson Hole is a nice place to visit too.

We have hiked there both times we went. Last time we hiked one of the lake trails, just shy of 12,000 ft in elevation.

I want to go back in the next couple of years.
