It really pissed him off when I told him that VGK were exempt from Seattle's expansion draft.
ETA: I'm thinking that NBC phasing out NBCSN means that either ESPN (more likely) or FOX are making a huge grab for the NHL rights.

Mesquite and BC / Laughlin are both about 75 minutes away. Neither are much more than casinos and golf courses but Mesquite isn't far from Zion NP, which is incredible.
Henderson and Summerlin are easily the 2 fastest growing areas in the Valley. Summerlin's in the NW area, right by Red Rock Canyon. I'm in the SE valley in Henderson. The Knights just moved their AHL team here and I can easily walk from my house to their new practice facility.
Lake Havasu and Yuma are hot as balls in summer...close to Death Valley temps.
ETA: Death Valley on August 16th last year...The verified temp turned out to be a more pleasant 129.9 degrees.

I like Doc Emrick but Gary Thorne is the best US announcer for those of us from the 90s. Gary Thorne and Bill Clement meant it was a big night at the rink.

When they show ice level shots that ice looks chewed up halfway into the first. Lots of snow buildup and you can see the grooves. Hope it hardens up as the sun goes down.
