What's the rush? People want to throw rookie QBs in to get them reps for the sake of it.
If he's clearly the best guy right off the bat it makes sense. If they're about the same, go with the vet IMO.
Otherwise too much can go wrong if the lines aren't cohesive, Pickett doesn't know the playbook well enough, or both.
What if they switch to Pickett, he sucks, then you go back to Trubisky? It'd be a mess.
