No you don’t. They had almost 30 seconds on 3rd and forever. The next play was going to be a fg. Line up and run a play and call TO and kick on 4th. They had plenty of time. Caleb is a dumbass.
If you call your last TO there then you don’t have one if you’re tackled in bounds and since it was 3rd down you can’t spike it. Running your fg unit on with the clock ticking would have also likely ended in disaster. Saving the TO was the right move.

You can do all of that without a timeout too! Have your FG team ready to run on the field. Caleb was dumb, and the whole team was lethargic getting back, but call TO, get your team set up for one play to gain yards and then a field goal. Pretty dang easy.
He was sacked with 33 seconds on the game clock. Call TO right there.

At that point, I’m playing for a FG. Run one play and have your FG team ready. You’d have plenty of time to get the FG team on the field with 25+ seconds on the clock. It’s not like you have 10 seconds to do it. There’s plenty of time.

You also had a stupid amount of time to run a play. He had TWENTY FIVE MOTHER frickING SECONDS TO SNAP THE BALL and would have easily had enough time

It was definitely idiotic from Williams as well. And Flus has to call timeout once the clock goes under 10 seconds, but the Bears as a whole had to be quicker, including Williams.
