Yep. It could have been illegal contact if it was beyond 5 yards from the line of scrimmage (it looked like it was right at 5 yards) but not DPI because the ball had not been released yet.

After ball is out, no.
We have the advantage of replay, but it's a bang bang play and refs felt the ball was out of Mahomes hand, and hard to argue that it wasn't given the ball was there a sec after that shoulder.

Why isn't that a reviewable play?
If I was a ref and saw another refs trying to help a team, on 3rd down, I would throw flags on that team every play until they punted.
