before you leave us. do you have time to answer my questions above?

quote:

which country is a better representation of a cultural mixing pot? which country has provided more freedom and rights to immigrants from other nations? which country has provided more economic opportunity to minorities?

is that not enough for one to be proud of their country? to be proud of to hear their country’s anthem? to proudly wear and fly their country’s flag?

When did I give you the impression that this was a press conference?

When did you get the impression this wasn't a message board? the entire idea is discussion. not interested in the topic any longer or not interested in the answers to my questions?

Remember when we were told it wasn't about the flag or NA? It was strictly about awareness to police brutality. Of course that required ignoring Kaepernick's own words.....

I am, too. I asked him a question that cuts to the whole purpose of this, a question that he could answer with one word. Won’t do it. He’s not getting involved in a press conference.

They might just have to do this for the light bulb to come on for some people. I hope at least. Maybe there’s some stubborn leftists out there that think “this might be a little divisive”.

Nothing is ever completely immune, but it absolutely is/was part of the appeal of sports. Civic pride was always a big reason people filled stadiums, spent money on something that "doesn't matter", and celebrated with people they likely had not a damn thing in common with. That's a little less true now than it was a couple years ago and that sucks.
