Saints and Falcons

Falcons had George, old Herbert, Chris chandler

Bad moon Rison, Mathis, Emmanuel, Hayward, Jamal Anderson Defenses had Sanders, Tuggle, Mathews, Doleman. They had decent talent at every position through the 90’s.

Hmm, I dunno. The 94 Chargers, maybe?

Couldn’t have beaten the ‘94 49ers in the Super Bowl with two footballs on offense and machetes on defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers. Great defense, especially LBs and DBs. Really good OL and running game. Neil O’Donnell and Kordell Stewart at QB.

Quite possibly would have beaten the ‘95 Cowboys in the Super Bowl with a better QB.

Elway didn't win until Davis....

True and Davis would never have won without Elway.

Those Detroit teams needed an OL before a QB

Seeing as the Seahawks where pretty close to landing Elway, would have made the 90’s way different. Not sure if it would have gone much better, but would be different not having to watch the complete slags that Seattle trotted out in the early 90’s after Dave Krieg left.

Here’s one no one thinks about, The Browns. This is a team that was a fumble at the 1 away from making the Super Bowl in 1987. Vinny Testaverde was a putz. That team with an elite QB, multiple Super Bowls…and the Ravens don’t exist.

We went 14-2 and won the NFC with Chris Chandler at QB. Too bad we traded away Favre years earlier.

Prime Marino on those late 90's/early 2000's Dolphins teams with Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, etc. would have been killer

Pittsburgh Steelers

Their loss to the Chargers in the AFC Title game was unconscionable. Pittsburgh set an NFL record with 55 sacks and they led the league in rushing.

O'Donnell was 32-of-54 for 349 yards. He wasn't as big a problem as people think. He set an AFC Championship game record for most completions...While the Steelers only rushed for 66 yards on 26 attempts.

But nobody was beating the Niners in that Super Bowl and nobody was beating the Cowboys the next year.

But yeah O'Donnell gets a lot of flack for his Super Bowl performance against the Cowboys where he threw two picks to a wide open Larry Brown.

IMO, the 1994 49ers are one of the most underrated Super Bowl winners. Everyone thinks of the Montana teams of the 1980s but when that 1994 group hit its stride around midseason they just destroyed teams.

The 1995 Cowboys could have been beaten. They had all the talent in the world but were an undisciplined mess under Barry Switzer. If Neil O’Donnell (or a “Top 5 QB”) had just avoided those costly turnovers they might have won Super Bowl 30.
