Draft Picks by College
Ohio State: 8
Texas: 6
Georgia: 5
Michigan/LSU: 5
Ole Miss: 4
Oregon/South Carolina/Texas A&M: 3 each
SEC has 38 draft picks
Big 10 has 27 draft picks
65 out of the top 104 NFL draft picks went to one of these two conferences.
Big 12 had 13 draft picks (Iowa St had 3, Colorado/TCU/Arizona 2 each)
ACC had 7 draft picks
Mountain West had 3 draft picks
AAC had 2 draft picks
No other conference or independent had more than 2 draft picks picked through the 3rd round.
Who says NIL isn't having a massive restructuring of the college football landscape?

This looks normal and also the pac doesn’t exist anymore so more for the big 10

Yes, but a lot of this has to do with Clemson and FSU, as well as the fact that the Pac 12 teams who actually put out NFL talent ended up in the Big Ten
2018
SEC 52
ACC 45
Big Ten 33
Pac 12 30
Big 12 20
2020
SEC 53
Big Ten 48
Pac 12 32
ACC 27
Big 12 21
2022
SEC 65
Big Ten 48
Pac 12 25
Big 12 24
ACC 21
There is an undeniable trend though...

The Group of 5 (MWC, AAC, Sunbelt, C-USA, MAC) only had 6 picks down from 10-15 per year pre-NIL.
In 2018, the SEC had 26 players drafted in the first 3 rounds this year it was 38.

And they’re still doubling down on Sanders too. It’s incredible.

Bill Polian also said Lamar should play WR and he knew tom Brady had the talent to be an all time great in the 2000s draft but decided not to draft him anyway
