The Tyler Shough picks was atrocious by the Saints. He finished 22nd in QBR this year.

Cam Ward 1st
Dillon Grabiel 2nd
Jaxson Dart 4th
Will Howard 7th
Jalen Milroe 8th
Shedeur Sanders 16th
Kyle McCord 17th
Tyler Shough 22nd.

Yes, it matters. Jayden set an FBS record 208 passer rating vs a top 10 SOS. Caleb Williams was 43 points lower at 165 vs a 40th ranked SOS. Anthony Richardson stats sucked in college and sucked in the NFL. Burrow had a Jayden like season just more geared towards passing, and look how he's doing.

Two realities ...

1) Shedeur Sanders fell out of the first round because of talent and performance.

2) He's still available now because of everything else. At this point of the draft, teams are looking for depth and developmental players. If you're taken in the third round or fourth round or fifth round, you're going to be working in the background.

That would make Shedeur a backup quarterback. Backup QBs need to blend with in the furniture. It's why Tim Tebow and Colin Kaepernick, and even guys like Jay Cutler and Cam Newton had trouble extending their careers—if those guys weren't going to start for you, you'd probably rather just have the anonymous guy who'd support the starter and make ZERO headlines.

Backup quarterback is a different job than starting quarterback, which is why the NFL's collective two-deep isn't just a list of the 64 best QBs on the planet.

Can Shedeur be the developmental guy, who's going to be all-in on his team, and quietly go about his business? Maybe. But he's never had to do that, and the way his pre-draft process has been handled casts a lot of doubt on it.

So I don't know who stops his fall, but I think it'll have to be someone who can draw hard lines with him.

I like what the Pats have done thus far, been years since we've drafted this good.

Feels nice to go through 3 rounds without a D2 tweener prospect that had a 6th round projection

Love the focus on offense. Not fricking around. Still a lot of well fitting pieces out there to go get on defense, but wouldn’t mind seeing a TE here either

Was thinking they were go after Jack Sawyer or someone off ball like that but safety is an underrated need. Got too many bulky SSs, need more speed/nickel versatility with Jon Jones gone and Marcus Jones hard to count on being healthy

Seems like a Logan Ryan type at first look

Raiders passed on him again

He'll definitely get drafted today, but totally deserved freefall

That Tennessee WR Donte Thornton is 6'5 205, runs a 4.3 40, and averaged over 20 yards per catch.

This is a lot more fun than a bunch of tweets talking about how Polk had the worst separation score of any WR in the class

Arian Smith to the Jets. I remember him being really fast, but seemed like he dropped half the passes thrown to him.
