Sure Adrian, sure. He tweeted this in 2 posts, now removed.

Some people are too stupid to live. Making millions of dollars somehow equates to slavery in the mind of Adrian Peterson.

Hell, even the league rookie minimum is $300,000 which is probably more than 98% of Americans make each year.

So being paid more than 98% of America equates to slavery. Nice, it was dumb when Spike Lee said it about basketball players and it it still dumb.

Comments like this and the stupid proposed boycott of the draft have me back on the side of the owners.

There's got to be more to that tweet than that.

I said in another thread. The longer these strikes/lock-outs seem to go on in any sport the worst the players side seems to look. It just seems to start to snowball on the players imo.

This idiot attorney that the NFLPA hired is no help imo. Gives the impression that he is just trying to make a name for himself.

Doesnt getting paid eliminate slavery from the equation?

The players have a lot less leeway in losing the PR battle. I think many people originally sided with the players on several issues: 18 game schedule, more money for retired/disabled players, "they did not opt-out." But now, imo, it is the players and the player reps shooting off their mouths and saying/doing the wrong things post negotiations. It really rubbed me the wrong way when I heard DeMaurice Smith use language like "the owners expect us to cut them a check" and "we want full transparency." On top of that, they have decertified but are still a player's support organization? WTF? And now the proposed boycotting of the draft. GTFO!!!

Peterson is an absolute idiot if he tweeted that stuff. I mean he loses so much ground to make the slavery comparison. Use your head dumbass.

problem is there are A LOT more players than owners, and some of the players arent the sharpest pencils in the box. so by him saying this, it makes ALL the players look bad. tweeter will not be the players friend during this lockout.

And it is going to be harder to control the players with the advent of social media. The dumbass activity will certainly increase the longer they have to sit idly without being able to participate in organized football activities.

I would imagine a league wide memo went out after this incident to stay the hell away from twitter.

Comparing the situation NFL players find themselves in to slavery is an unfortunate choice of words on Peterson’s part,

He'd still be a dumbass, given that college players are free to make their own way through school without playing football.

College players have their education paid for so that statement would still be asinine.

Once this whole think irons out, the NFL should ban anyone in the league from having a twitter account. As entertaining it is for some people, it's a constant reminder of how stupid the vast majority of it's players and personel are.
