It’s a bunch of 215-325 pound men cutting at explosive speeds and running into each other at 10-20 mph…

I am aware. I didn’t say it was surprising or a mystery. I said it is annoying.

Guys are too big, fast, and strong to play such a spread out game. Connective tissue just can’t keep up.

Maybe NFL stadiums should get rid of the turf and go to grass. Funny how it wasn't a problem to install grass for the World Cup players. Not saying it would get rid of all injuries but grass is better on knees especially than turf.

The NFLPA needs to make a concerted effort to address this during the next CBA.

From everything I have seen and read, the data is patently obvious on this, and it's only going to get worse as seasons get longer.

This might help. The turf provides excellent traction with translates into greater contact force. With grass, there is less traction, so the hits are not has hard.

I think it would help if all NFL games were on natural grass surfaces, even if there are numerous patches of dirt, which was very common in the days of NFL football when artificial turf was not yet invented.

Artificial turf may be the enemy here.

Turf is much worse on knees and joints.

The Panthers switched to turf in 2020 I believe. Despite overwhelming player feedback in opposition to the turf, cheap arse David Tepper refuses to go back to natural grass.

There is no reason for any outdoor nfl stadium to have turf. And we are approaching a point where fixes roof domes can have grass as well.

I get why high schools and small colleges have turf. The P4 and NFL needs to all be grass.

you have 250lb linebackers running 4.4 40s. Human body can only take so much.

It would help some but at the end of the day the guys are just too big/muscled with too many changes of direction that ALSO contains massive collisions of said individuals.

It really should be so.

I understand that grass fields with patches of brown grass and dirt might not look pretty on television and the networks might not like it but I say "frick That" and play on the grass and the dirt where there is less traction so people can't hit as hard.
