I love how there's no list for average cost of education ($40,000/year at Stanford). But still, pretty interesting list...never would've thought an LSU degree is worth $10,000 more than Nebraska or USCe.

...and it seems to be working.

they have 3 commitments thus far, all in the top 100 on rivals.

I assume this is football recruiting related. So with that being said if they are receiving a full ride, why does the cost of education even matter?

And if it came down to education, I would choose Standford over LSU in a heartbeat. LSU is no where close to the educational quality Standford provides.

Another thing to consider...

Living in Cali or on the west coast in general has a much higher cost of living than living in the south (speaking in general cause BR housing is out of this world).

A VT grad is earning $24,300 after 15 years of work experience? They all seem a bit low IMO.

Did you see the sign in front? It's Stanford minus.

You are right, that $39k gap between LSU and Stanford gets much smaller when you consider most Standford grads probably live in California and most LSU grads live in Louisiana and Texas.

Stanford = $119k
LSU = $80k
Stanford - COL adjustment = $95k (pulled from my arse)

If the OT misreads the chart, you know dumb football players will misread it as well

Smart move

To be honest, this would really make me think.

I love LSU, but turning down a Stanford education would be pretty hard to do. This might sway me.

It's kind of disconcerting to me that Auburn grads make nearly $8,000 more than LSU grads.

i'm going to have to say you are dead wrong on that assumption... nowhere near 80% of stanford grads even stay in cali fwiw...

Incredibly smart tool for Stanford football to use. I'd love to play there if I had the chance.

how many Stanford grads move to the fly-over states after graduating? very, very few. they either stay in Cali or wind up in the northeast.

This would be my argument. The COL is much higher and would require a higher salary to get by.

Typical football recruit: "Im trying to go to the NFL, not be some mid level executive at some corporation."
