No, same rules for everyone. That's what we have now.
If it were truly the "same rules for everyone" then students who lived in a certain area would be required to attend a private school, regardless of whether they could afford it or not.

Also, that's not what you have now. There are "select" schools that are playing within the old classifications. See: Edna Karr.

Agreed. Nothing that was changed has created any sort of level playing field or changed the rules at all. I don't see how any could actually argue that point.

i look at it this way... sure the 3A nonselect schools now don't have to compete with John Curtis for the state title, but it doesn't make them any better teams or knock Curtis, U-High, etc. down a notch

I lived in Shreveport for four years. Had three good friends that had sons who played at Evangel during their 5A dominate days. They told me plenty of recruiting stories that were just ridiculous.

And I grew up in Monroe and could tell you just as bad or worse stories about west Monroe. The public school state championship will be forever tarnished because everyone will know the team that won it won it because they forced the better team into a separate playoff.

It was and is true just happened at an earlier date in 2005 when they forced Curtis and evangel down.

Rummel and Catholic will be in the Dome every single year if it stays this way.

Wow, this is ridiculous

Maybe Catholic will finally win a state championship since we don't have to play West Monroe anymore

So if you don't make the playoffs now you really suck.
Plus, the teams going up against Evangel and Curtis still have no chance.

If it is CHS-BR vs St Aug in the dome you will see probably the two best RBs in the state.

That would be the principal from Winnfield. And I figure they'll still get buttsurfed by someone, such as Sterlington, before they get to the Dome.

what a homer...

edit- about Winnfield... someone drew the short straw and had to be the public face of the split... she probably didn't think the negative reaction would be what it was. if she had known, someone else would have had to sell the split

So you honestly dont think CHS will be in the dome this year? I honestly didnt think that was really a homer opinion. From what i have heard, most people think it is Aug and CHS
