It wasn’t as bad as people think. He is a good “talker” but they put him in a 3 man booth when he should have been in 2 man.
He also likes to talk to much which made him unpopular.

Dennis Miller made no sense because his jokes were going to go over the head of every Joe Shmoe blizted on Blatz on Monday Night Football.
"I haven't seen anyone rely on the ground game this much since the battle of Verdun."
"That field goal attempt was so far to the left it nearly decapitated Lyndon LaRouche."
I mean, c'mon it's guys drinking beer watching football.
He did have one great quote though:

I remember a time where jaworski was commenting on all of the Johnsons on the field...this Johnson did this, this one did that, and this Johnson is the biggest of them all! Kornheiser just starts laughing didn’t even try to get past it
