Damn it’s a tough year for Nascar. Ned was a great driver and outstanding in the booth. Sad to hear. RIP

I love how this came to happen.
With one lap to go in the Daytona 500, CBS-TV producer Bob Stenner hits his 'all call' key and barks "Everybody lay out !... Ned, be a dad, and call your boy home." You know what happens next...
"Well, Alright!" Ned exclaims. "It's the Dale and Dale show, and you know which Dale I'm pulling for..."
RIP to one of the best broadcasters and best friends this sport has ever known.

I guess it's for real this time, there was a rumor a few years back that he had passed but it was quickly debunked. Ned was great, but man he seemed old back in 93 when he made the first Dale and Dale call. He lived a long life.
