The OU/Nebraska game was must see TV back in the 80's when both programs were dominant.

A few years ago, I had an early Saturday morning flight from ATL to Omaha. The plane was full of people who were attending Nebraska's game that day. I was impressed by the support when N had been down for so long.

Nebraska fans travel about as well as any team in the country. There is always a lot of red no matter where they play.

I would say they are in the top 10 of travelling fanbases even though the product on the field hasn't been close to top 10.

Do they have the money to compete today?

Yeah, we remain a listless ship. No land in sight.

Mike Riley, Scott Frost and now Ruhle all seem at a loss in figuring out an emphasis on line play, RTDB, defense and special teams is something Nebraska could do (getting back to our old basics) and we could probably reasonably reach 8 or 9 wins a year with an occasional run at something nicer every once in awhile when we had a lot of experience, etc.

Hell, Iowa beats us over the head to end the season every year using much of the same things we used to do…..and our head coaches still can’t figure it out.

While it would be nice to see some meaningful football and big games again someday, I at least got to experience the better days of long ago.

I just hope our younger fans get a chance to experience how fun it can be instead of just listening to old farts like me talk about it or old YouTube videos.

The record is apparently Rutgers that has lost 43 straight games to ranked opponents.

Never thought I'd see Nebraska go toe-to-toe in futility with one of the absolute worst Programs of all-time. Does Nebraska share anything with Temple too?

Kind of says it all doesn’t it? We’ve just had an exceptionally long and unfortunate string of dummies leading the program at the HC and/or AD positions.

In Joe’s case, turned out a blessing in disguise.

As good as he is, he would’ve been eaten alive behind our Swiss cheese O-lines of the past 10 years or so.

They recently spent millions on a new facility...probably wouldve been better off spending that on 5 stars and the portal. Facilities aren't going to win recruiting battles anymore, its cash

A lot of things have changed since the Osborne days... let's be honest you guys used every loophole to your advantage as far as recruiting goes before the prop rules and caps on walk ins were implemented. You guys also were leaders in the strength and conditioning game, now everyone is pretty much on an even playing field.

If this is something you desire, maybe you, TigersHuskers, and some of the other Nebraska fans here could pen some apology letters to Bo and see if he would be willing to come back.

These words will haunt Nebraska football. Iowa fans remember them with the passion of a thousand burning suns and take great pleasure of sticking them right up that Husker arse each Black Friday.

Talk about motivation.

Ferentz has never publicly said it but that statement really lit a fire under his @ss, he takes the Nebraska game personal since that was said.
