If ND was ahead of bama in their minds last week it makes zero sense, like none at all, for them to flip ND and bama
It had nothing to do with the Auburn or Stanford game, it’s about the opponents record/strength of schedule.
Georgia beat a very good Ga Tech team- which helps Bama.
More importantly, A&M lost - moving from a clear top 3 team to a top 10 team. Furthermore ND’s top 2 wins lost - Pitt & USC. Pitt dropping out entirely which means ND has only one win (barely) vs a top 25 team.

Like some of us said when the CFP was created, they just put lipstick on the pig of the old pre-BCS poll system.
The old system was probably more transparent and logical than the CFP committee, though.

I’m curious to see what the BCS rankings would look like.

Vandy getting fricked over by the committee for Texas is the least surprising thing I've ever seen

Alabama loss means they are out. In that case, Miami and ND both make it.
This is all that matters. If Bama loses to UGA they should not be in

Bama has two wins over top 14 teams, one of which was @3 Georgia, And ND has zero.
Bama is the number one seed in a conference that has six ranked teams.
Bama has a better strength of schedule than does ND.
Pretty simple to figure out if you're not a fricking idiot.

Their logic never makes sense because even in the same year they mix up different reasonings that are contradictory.
If you want to claim better losses to put ND over Miami, why are two teams with bad losses over teams with better losses?
UT being above Vandy is absurd when you realize that Texas lost more games including one to a 4-8 team. Bama lost to a 5-7 team by two TDs and is ahead of two teams that lost either to two top 12 teams by a combined 4 points and the other to two teams each at 8-4 and one having a top 10 win.
Just like when Bama was put it I the title guy for their good loss in 2011, now they are being put in despite an even worse loss than OSU had that year and a couple of “good” wins.
Then you have ND over Miami purely for having “better” losses despite Miami’s head to head win over ND.
So basically, reasoning of rating a is all that matters and the committee already having an agenda of who they want in.
It’s pathetic and why college football has become an utter joke as has the championship.

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
Instead of 70 AP writers, it's 12 semi-competent committee members

Clearly you don't know ball. USC won and is #16, that's not "barely top 25."

The BCS, Saragin, FPI, etc plus all the human polls have ND ahead of Miami. Online message boards with ND hatred boners are the only place that says Miami should be above ND.

ND shouldn't be in the playoff. Vandy and Texas have better resumes.

Aside from OSU, ND is playing the best right now…

If you’re not taking into account the quality of the opponent, might as well include North Texas & James Madison in there

ND is dominating everyone they play…

The people who “know ball” the most - Vegas oddsmakers - have ND as the 3rd or 4th best team overall.
So yeah, I tend to think they should be in regardless of what the numbnuts on this message board think.
