It’s their shitty style of play

They just had a perfect storm of talent the one season they won it all

They run the system bad mid majors run to try to even the playing field with more talented teams by shortening the game. It’s an embarrassment for a major program to run the system to do.

They open themselves up to upsets in the tournament because their system allows teams to hang around. And if they have an off shooting night they’re going down.

I tend to agree with you. For the high level talent they get in the program, the system they run limits their success in pressure situations, it seems.

I think Purdue was lucky that Edwards had 40 plus that night in Louisville

I was big on both Purdue and Tech that year. UVa was luckier in the Tech game

It’s like if a powerhouse high school team ran a 4 corners stall offense against some crappy team. It gives the overmatched team a chance they wouldn’t have if you just let the horses run.
