By the top-tier talent, on paper it should be Denver and BU. Western Michigan's coach has done a great job elevating the team, getting some solid players through the portal.
BU's lineup is mostly draft picks with fewer portal acquisitions needed, and Penn State... I didn't think they'd have a chance in their first game yet here they are.

I've watched these 2 every time they played, there's never been a bad game among them. This one hasn't disappointed either.

BU advances with a 3-1 win over Penn St.

BU got momentum at the right time. Their #1 goalie arrived to start the second half and quickly replaced their previous starter. I'd say that's a greater benefit than anyone they got through the portal, at risk of burning a year, knowing he'll likely leave after year 2 or 3.
