This is supposed to be a free country where people aren't forced to fear for their lives, especially when that fear is based on a lie. It's their choice if they want a vaccine, not yours, and not the NCAA's.
Also, four of those guys who tested positive GOT the vaccine. What did that do for them? Nothing. There's your science.

Nah! They are making an example of them because some didn’t want to take the vaccine. This is truly political hardball. Ask yourself if you really believe any of these athletes lives were in danger? These kids won’t have co-morbidities like folks over 50.

I bet you they are all feeling well and ASYMPTOMATIC.
First it was John Rahm, a guy who is winning a golf tourney by 6 shots, and as he is walking off the golf course with only 18 holes to play the next day, they tell him he can't play because of Covid. Then it was another high profile athlete named CHRIS PAUL with the Phoenix Suns who can't can't play for 10 days because of Covid. Now, the media really gets the message out to get vaccinated because look what can happen to your team in the College WS. Coincidence that all of these high profile things happened within a short time frame? Huh.

I would refuse to play as an individual and protest this shite.

Yep, the NCAA has ruined the experience for all of the teams, their families and friends, and fans of the game. I truly feel bad for the teams, especially NC State, who were subjected to this.
You want science: you can still get and transmit COVID even if you have the vaccine.

I remember what happened during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009: LSU won the CWS. The sports world was not affected one bit that fall, winter, and following spring. They better get this mess straight before football season, or SEC fans may riot harder than Antifa.
