I mean the big underdog is leading here, that alone makes this a worthy watch

Agree but not sure it’s their fault. The league is so bad they dominate by just playing good D. They don’t even have any size, it’s a bunch of 6-4 and 6-5 guys running around out there but nobody is going to play through the front line so hats off to them for exploiting bad basketball.

I’m not all that interested in most of these matchups in round one.

Orlando were genius to intentionally lose the 7 seed

I had no idea Timmy D had hair like that

Wemby is ridiculous. Like I can’t believe what I’m seeing him do out there on the court as his size.

the spurs city edition uniform and court is one of the few that isn't completely fricking terrible.

This game makes me want some 1990’s Taco Bell

Young Spurs have played well today. Got a little lax after halftime which has happened a few times this season. I think they can hold on here.
The rookies were shell shocked ( Harper and Bryant). But hopefully they'll be better in Game 2.

Great night for the boys.

I wonder if Timmy uses papers or blunts. Seems like a man of culture so probably papers.

Lol
You have to realize some things here:
1. Most are Pelicans fans. Their team has sucked a long time and they hate other teams. They also hate that when OKC had the New Orleans loaner team that OKC sold way more tickets than NO did. It even got the owner to say he wouldn’t mind moving there permanently but the NBA would not allow it since it was designed as temporary to give team a place to play while renovating their own arena after Katrina. Would have been a bad look.
2. You then have some old Seattle fans who are still mad OKC moved their team when they wouldn’t upgrade their arena. Even though Lakers moved from Minny and only 13 existing (of 30) teams have never moved.
3. Then there are the fans of other teams. They hate and despise that a small market team had been able to build a title team. This is not supposed to happen. Small market teams are posed to be feeder teams for large market teams. The basketball universe and pundits are all based on big market teams. And they absolutely hate it.
4. And you have the online teenagers who a lot of folks follow them. And they hate that SGA is a generational player putting up historical stats.
I think its funny and it doesn’t bother me. I have some shadows who follow my NBA posts only and chime in any chance they can. These are soy boys who are bitter at life. They sit there and punch that down button as if their life depended on it. Newsflash, no one cares about that and anyone who only posts to get votes is weak minded and full of soy. I’ll never understand the worry over dumb things like that.
I enjoy it and post about the team. Mostly get a kick over it and every now and then someone will actually post about the topic and not troll. Thats rare though but it drives traffic when the trolls are engaged so you have to navigate that.
Just post what you want and don’t worry about those who add nothing to discussion. I am looking for an NBA board to post on where there is actual discussion since thats lacking here. But its not worth the time since I love all the other boards and discussions here. You have every life topic on this board where others are specific to only one or twi sports. So I just embrace the hate.

For Dort/Williams/Caruso/Wallace it's "great effort" and "lock down defense!" but for 99% of the rest of the league, it's a foul.
I know we disagree about NBA eras and all time greats and all that, but I truly think SGA is ruining the sport. SGA is what the older crowd thinks Lebron is in terms of flopping and playing like a pussy. He commits an offensive foul on nearly every possession, but it usually results in free throws.
I HATED what Harden was doing circa 2014-2018. This is infinitely worse.
