A lot of Boston over Atlanta picks in seven. I don't see it since Hawks have home court. If we lose, it'll be in six not seven.

Boston plays pretty saltily on the road from what limited looks I've seen. Beat GS in the road and damn near got a win in SA, too.

Sure they can, but I don't think it's likely. More likely that they snag an early game in the series in Atlanta. We match up pretty well with them too. Rather play Boston than Miami.

...and what a home court advantage it is.

Detroit was 3-1 against Cleveland this year. Even if you remove the last game where the starters sat, they were 2-1. I think a sweep is unlikely

Regular season=/=playoffs. Having said that, Stan has had a good history against LBJ teams when he’s faced them in the playoffs, if he has a good game plan I see Detroit having more luck than Atlanta/Boston which is pretty sad.

Which, whoever wins that series will win in 6/7 but be done in 5 max the next series.

I will be shocked if my Mavericks win more than one post-season game.

Hell, I'll be shocked if we win one.

It will be in a game 7 in the playoffs. Hell it was in game 5 vs the Wizards last year.

Warriors in 5 (Harden goes off for 48 in one game which helps Houston steal one game)
Spurs in 4
OKC in 4
LAC in 6

Cavaliers in 5
Raptors in 6 (This is the most likely of the 1's/2's vs low seed to be an upset)
Heat in 7
Hawks in 7

They went into GS and beat them. What makes you think they can't go into Atlanta and win? The Celtics are a tough team with an outstanding coach.

Then they got blown out in Atlanta a few games later.

Atlanta is also a very tough team with an outstanding coach. Should be a good series but the match up should favor the Hawks.

(I don't put much stock in regular season h2h records but Atlanta is 3-1 for whatever that's worth.)

Hawks are 60-22 at home in their last two regular seasons, 65-25 if you include last postseason.

Boston is a regular season kinda team IMO. Win with effort and depth. When other teams match their effort and rotations get shortened in the playoffs they aren't as good as their record would indicate. They are first round fodder.

Good for the regular season, but when rotations get shortened and EVERYONE is playing hard, they lose a lot of what makes them successful.

It's really no knock on the Hawks. I think they are great. It is a bad year to be a 3-6 seed in the east. Who would have thought anyone would say that this year?

If you had made that same post about the Hawks last year, you would have been upvoted and applauded as a genius. Now saying it about the Celtics, who are significantly worse than last year's Hawks, you are dumb and Celtics are great

Celtics are good, but the Hawks will handle them. They have no answer for millsap who just does whatever he wants against them. I love the match up, plus we have home court. Hawks in 6

HOU playing their best ball/Golden State isn't, it wouldnt surprise me one bit if they were caught slipping in either game 1 or 2.

Last 10

GSW 8-2
Hou 6-4

Oh and one team just won 73 games
