Player can’t control what happens when he is off the court.
He does have control with what happens when he is on the court.
That’s why the focus is always ON. Rather then on / off.

that's an awful small sample size, do it for a whole season and you will see him get his credit from those in the know.

AD plays with 2 defensive liabilities on the court at all times, often it becomes 3. It's also a team that unfortunately needs to use a 6'4 guard to defend wings.
Miller? Leads the league in fouling 3pt attempts I bet.
Rondo? Poor defensively
Clark? Bad
Diallo, Okafor? Lol.
Moore and boogie? Average at best
You could swap AD with any defensive big man and they're not turning this group into an elite unit. None.

Pels have this excellent bad arse team according to yall, all these great pieces... until it comes to defending Davis that is, now all these guys become bums. Please be consistent like me, that's all I ask. Look I got Davis as a top 5 player, but it aint because of his Defense. He is a good defender, very good. but not on the level of the top elites.
Your embiids, goberts, draymonds, kawhis. he can't be compared to them.

Not a single person on this whole goddamn site makes it out like this teams defense is worth shite aside from jrue and AD.
It's funny you say that, yet the same media that you're defending so hard that's giving harden his mvp considers ad a top player and a top 3 defensive player. So I guess there's a lot that consider him elite.

AD is awesome
The Jrue that showed up in the playoffs/end of season is awesome
Mirotic is awesome, but inconsistent
Rondo is a role player that has a defined role that works with the Pels, but has obvious flaws
Moore can knock down an open shot, but is playing out of position and should be coming off of the bench
No one else is really worth mentioning.

the players have given out 4 MVPS, james got two of them. James has the utmost respect of his peers, that matters more than the media. Chris, Pj, etc took paycuts to play with James. they didn't go to play with lebron or the spurs...remember that bubba.. Davis has to settle for the guys no one wants.the rondos of the league.

The problem with the Pelicans is they have no identity.
I don’t have any faith that Gentry can coach twin towers.
Gentry came from a team built on quickness and outside shooting. The Pelicans should want to slow it down and work inside out.
With Holiday and Davis you have two of the top 10 two way players out there. Had the Pelicans traded Cousins for George last year I believe they would have pushed the Warriors to six or seven assuming they still get Mirotec. Now they will probably loose Cousins and must hope the team he signs with sends something back in the way of a shooter or small forward.

Paul coud have extended for $132 mil, which is the mega millions you're pretending he left on the table.
Paul, by waiting 1 extra season, can now extend for $205 mil.
Meaning, had he taken the "mega millions he left on the table" he would have cost himself upwards of $70 million.
