Because he's a fraud. Everyone knows it, but he still puts up this facade that he is in the loop.

Oh he also gets paid an arse ton to be a total idiot.

Unless PG comes first.

When their dad is constantly on TV talking about the Coaching staff, organization and other players. Their have always been crazy parents but nobody cares if it's just between the team and them but this dude is just different.

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn The Spurs are fully engaged in trade talks with several teams on Kawhi Leonard, including the Lakers and Celtics, league sources tell ESPN. Boston has long had the assets that the Spurs most covet in a potential Leonard trade.

Boston has the better assets by far. Its just a matter of if Kawhi throws a big enough fit not getting to go to LAL.

This doesn't guarantee Kawhi Leonard is going to the Lakers this week -- since San Antonio could always trade him elsewhere and/or drag things out -- but league sources say of the Spurs: "They're ready" to move on from Kawhi

Agreed but what a risky move for Ainge. Boston will be the heavy favorites in the East next year if they do nothing and Lebron goes west. Very risky call imo

I wouldn’t do this if I’m Boston.

What are you giving up? You have a super deep team.

They're just in such a great spot, other than the obvious, losing such a good player.

They can drag it out and try to sabotage Lebron to LA. Or they can try to make LA pay an absolute premium. The Spurs have a lot of leverage here these next few days.

I'd offer Kyrie and draft picks, could that get it done?

Thought I read his camp is telling teams he will only sign an extension with the Lakers or clippers

He would be dumb to not be engaged and seeing what the price is. That’s all that has been reported.

Don't know if the spurs would want to risk kyrie leaving next year. It gets it done in a vacuum but they'd probably want Ingram, brown, or Tatum first

For sure, but they also have less motive to include those assets.

In the end, I think this is just Boston fricking the Lakers over and making them throw in more for the trade.

I do think Ingram could be really good in the future though. Maybe on par with Brown, who is probably the best asset Boston would give up.

The question is would the Spurs want to possibly go through this again in a year with Kyrie? He’s a free agent next year and there’s been a lot of rumors he wants to go home to New York. Iirc, both the Knicks and Nets will have cap space for a max next summer

I think it's this. No way am I giving up Tatum or even Brown for one year of Kawhi if I know he's set on going to LA in free agency

If spurs get a #1 and a Celtics starter ( not named Tatum or kyrie), they will be happy.
They will take less from Celtics.

No way spurs facilitate this kahwi plus LeBron to Lakers deal LeBron wants.
