Yea, that's worked out great for them.

yeah, and the Rockets were watching the NBA Finals last year from the same position as the Pels, but i guess sitting at home with 65 wins felt better than sitting at home with 48 wins, right?

By the casual fan types. But we don’t concern ourselves with their opinion anyways. This is more of a higher level Perspective I am speaking on.

His quote was more like:

when a team is as good as we were last year, they usually win the title

Which is more or less what b has said just worded a little diffeeently.

Uh, yeah, it definitely did last year. Losing Boogie (and especially gaining Niko) gave us an identity, and our core 4 of Jrue/AD/Niko/Randle is pretty fricking solid. Team chemistry is at an all time high. AD seems happy and focused, and he and Jrue own this team, which is something every Pelican fan has wanted and hoped for since AD got drafted.

I think we win 50 this year.

That has nothing to do with "zigging while everyone else is zagging".

The Boogie experiment didn't work out so well. The Pels played much better after they did what the rest of the league has been doing... they picked up a good stretch 4, got rid of their big, lumbering center, and played uptempo.

We're playing uptempo with 3 bigs.

On another note, it looks like the Suns might get involved in this Jimmy trade. Really don't want Teague that much, but I'd love Tyus Jones.

The Suns ought to have figured out THAT BUTLER HATES PLAYING WITH YOUNG PLAYERS

ETA: realize now Suns are 3rd team.

Heat should hold onto Dragic in this scenario. Getting Butler means win now. Dragic is playmaker and can shoot off ball.

Keep him and the Heat are knocking on the door of ECF.

If the young player works hard, he doesn't mind.

He was a late pick. He's always been a grit and grind guy and expects that from everyone else too.

Jimmy Butler took issue with Rondo too.

Miami really is the perfect spot for him as long as they find a taker for Whiteside, who’s always been a cancer...remember the internet fanbois of Hassan? Nothing like a stat hunter to show you someone who doesn’t know basketball.

Hassan has to go to the Kings. It would be the most Kings thing ever.

Yea, admittedly I stole that one from the Cajun cannon. I get a real kick out of it.

Bron may very well love Rondo now, but wait until January once Rajon has died on a thousand straight screens.

The Wolves asking price for Jimmy is ridiculous. They're gonna end up getting nothing.

Don’t think it will be nothing but they’re obviously not getting what they’re asking for. I would be interested to see what Miami was offering.

Richardson has a great deal, has improved a lot and would basically slot in as a less ball dominant version of Butler. You could build a pretty nice deal around him and Adebayo but I’m guessing Miami doesn’t want to do that

Making the salaries work isn’t exactly easy either, I forgot how much Olynyk and Babbitt were making

They have to at least try to work the process. It's like the Spurs with Kawhi. They came out with a massive asking price.

That's how you don't totally destroy your own leverage. The deadline is a long way off.
