Just saying you can change everyone out and shitty ownership can negate the FO if they want.
It’s not, the current FO seems to be doing a good job, that was the point

It should also be noted that prokhorov sold a whole lot of stake in the nets this past year. He went from like 90% ownership to 51% and he is less involved in the actual running of the franchise

His game the whole time was to get the arena and all the real estate around it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not the majority owner soon

Yea. I think he owns like somewhere between 40 and 50 percent of the Barclays center and the surrounding area

Sorry guys, he's going to be the mayor here.
Come on home, Jimmy.

The All-Star forward Jimmy Butler comes across as the proudest former resident in the history of tiny Tomball, Texas. What he doesn’t advertise in his Twitter biography, but also doesn’t dispute, is that he grew up dreaming of becoming a Houston Rocket like his hero Tracy McGrady.
“It was Houston everything for me,” said Butler, who grew up in Tomball, roughly 30 miles from Houston’s city center. “Whatever sport I was in love with at the time, I wanted to be playing for the Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, Houston Texans. I was Houston to the death.”
Come on home, Jimmy.

Dwane Casey practically raised Jimmy Butler.

You could credit that quote to Gerald Green and no one would question it.

Jabari Parker's tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks is over: Parker has become an unrestricted free agent after the Bucks rescinded their qualifying offer. Parker is expected to sign a two-year deal for in excess of $40 million with the Chicago Bulls.

I hope that 2nd year isnt guaranteed

I like it. My Bulls are looking pretty good. The Bulls have the cap space and so paying a bit more for a shorter deal works out fine. If everyone can stay healthy, it’ll be a fun team to watch.

2 year deal and second year is a team option. Doesn’t hinder long term flexibility and allows them to lock him up long term if warranted. Love this move. A risk a rebuilding team should take.

We're paying a dude $20 million a year after 2 ACL tears to the same knee.
Management has learned nothing from the DRose injury.
EDIT: Didn't see the 2nd year wasn't guaranteed.

OMG I just realized they'll throw out a lineup of Dunn-Lavine-Lauri-Parker-WC34.

Pretty impressive how quickly Chicago went from a super old team like a year ago to having a pretty fun young team now.

Don't be so cynical. Parker looked good coming back from injury and still very young. Health is the only thing that's held him back. NBA salaries has inflated year after year and Parker was going to get 15+ per year regardless. A little more for a shorter term contract isn't going to hurt us if it doesn't work out. It's not like there's some high profiled free agent knocking on our door trying to sign with us.
I guess if you set the bar so low you'll be easier to impress when the season starts. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The Mavericks are on the verge of signing Yogi Ferrell to a multi year deal, a source said. They have rescinded his qualifying offer, but that is a formality. They have up to $4.4 million to spend but it’s unknown how much of that they will use on the third-year guard.
