Lol fricking it up by not making an all time dumb trade?

Kawhi could be “more receptive" to being traded to Clippers since LeBron joined Lakers, per @ShamsCharania
Tough scene.

Bron and the misfits should be entertaining. At least he can say he didn't go to LA for basketball reasons.

I posted previously, but if the Lakers don't get Kawhi as a FA, they move on to Butler and Walker. The Lakers have options, the Spurs...less so.

If I'm Pop there's no way I let Kawhi go to the Lakers unless the Lakers pony up big. I'd be okay losing him to free agency. No way Lakers keep Ingram anyways if they want both LeBron and Kawhi. It's one less year the Lakers have Kawhi in a prime year and one more year added to Lebron's career.
If I'm the Lakers I'm content seeing what you get from Ingram going into this season. You may not need Kawhi if Ingram makes a similar leap this season as he did from year 1 to year 2.

Do the clippers have any young attractive players other than Tobias Harris?
Harrell’s ceiling is likely Farried.

SGA or Jerome. I'd move Jerome and picks for Kawhi. Pat Bev could also be moved with SGA coming in.

Why would you lose a superstar and get nothing in return.
It's like saying you'd be ok forfeiting a draft pick.

It does if you just want to keep Kawhi away from the Lakers and possibly tank Kawhis value overall.
If Kawhi refuses to play this season do the Lakers still want to offer him max next year??
What if Kawhi plays poor and uninspired this year because hes throwing a fit he isn't traded, what would that do to his value?
I let it ride if I'm San Antonio. Dont do the Lakers any favors. They can pick up Ingram later on down the line.

Ah you get the cap space generated by the vacated roster spot to spend on other players. Even maybe players from multiples teams and not just the lakers.

They can try and trade him at the deadline.
Kawhi is coming off a year where he basically didnt play at all. His stock is as low as it's ever been. It cant get lower.
Spurs need to get him on the court to get his stock back up and look to trade him later on once hes proved hes healthy and like he was.
Even Woj is saying there's questions about his health, if that's the case then why sell low? Only way to get it back up is getting him on the court before a trade.
Won't take long for people to see Kawhi is what he was. Then you make the deal.
