It is kinda fun watching a team grow organically and see what develops but that’s never been the Lakers way I remember that mid 90’s team that was really fun with Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Ceballos etc. They blew that up with a quickness to get Shaq which is exactly what Magic will do if he knows Lebron wants to come.

I just want someone to dethrone the Warriors, and the Lakers look like they could possibly be that team if they land LeBron, George, and Kawhi. Also, that team basically aligns with the Warriors as far as age goes, so that would be an interesting next 3-4 years.

Age will take them out by that time

So does that mean the Mavs are a good team if they are considering if they have to move up from 5 to get him?

Yes, probably more so means teams with good front offices/coaches. I'd say the Mavs have that.

The Mavs FO certainly isn’t among the worst in the NBA, but they haven’t exactly made amazing moves over the last 5 or 6 years.

I don’t understand how Doncic would fall past 2

I was leaning more towards Carlisle being a good coach and their FO being average.

Definitely agree with you there and their drafting has been GOD AWFUL. Yeah, DSJ is a great young pickup, but there wasn't really anyone else at that spot

I think a lot of people are basing it off the story earlier this month/late last month saying the Kings and Hawks were preferring an American player, so thus Doncic would fall to at least fourth, along with Ayton saying the Suns have basically assured him the No. 1 pick

I think Memphis might then prefer Bagley if he was there or JJJ as a complement to Gasol, so I'm not even sure if the Mavs would have to move at all unless a team trades in front of them

Yeah I’m not saying it like that, more like I don’t understand how they’re going to take Bagley or Jackson over him because I think he’s that good. I will be pissed if Dallas somehow gets him

If Doncic is there at #3, Atlanta takes him according to reports from yesterday. The new coach loves him, and it looks like the rest of the front office is actually listening to him.

Isn't Travis Schlenk the GM in Atlanta now? He's a smart dude.

I've already given up hope on him being at 5. If he's there then I'll be ecstatic, but I've set my sights on Bamba

He is.

For some reason, early reports were that they wanted JJJ or to trade back for Trae Young, and that the front office wasnt enamored with Luka, but since they inked Pierce as the head coach, it seems like his voice is being heard a lot, since the Philly organization loves Doncic.

Hopefully, the team does take Luka at #3, and then can somehow trade #19 and other assets to get back in the lottery and pair Luka with either SGA or Sexton.

Our boy Russillo is saying LeBron is trying to recruit stars to Cleveland.

Russillo Russillo @ryenarussillo Reports of the Cavs looking for players to come to Cleveland are not just about trying to help LeBron. James is scanning the market and seeing if players want to join him in CLE. If no one wants to come to CLE, he’s probably gone. But this is why I’ve said there’s still a chance.

It was obvious lebron would give Cleveland the chance to convince him to come back, but it's equally as clear that Cleveland is totally handcuffed when it comes to making any significant roster changes.

Cleveland has about 3 of the worst contracts in the league with Clarkson, Thompson, and J.R. Smith. No team wants any part of those deals.

I think they could get someone like Kemba Walker but I dunno if that will be enough to convince Lebron

Hopefully they find out before actually pulling the trigger on a deal...

Their only assets are love and Brooklyn's pick.

Unfortunately, koby Altman got trade raped and they have nothing to show for the Kyrie trade.
