Eagerly anticipating the next break. I appreciate the effort you put in to make this a cool deal.

His cards are cheap for a reason. He didn't do much of anything last year. All those guys are cheap for a reason. I'm just looking at it through an "opportunity" standpoint. All 4 of those guys are playing on very bad teams with nothing but upside for giving their young guys playing time.

Luwawu and Levert finished the season very strong.

Valentine is one of those multi year college SFs that could just need time to adjust. Could easily be a 40% 3 pt shooter.

Sabonis can play multiple positions and is embarassingly for Indiana the major young prospect gotten back in the George trade.

Need some assistance from you card experts. We opened a bowman platinum blaster box and found this card:

What is it? It says 3/10 which would make you think something badass, but it looks like a platinum presence no auto. Can someone fill in the ignorant? Thanks.

After further research it appears to be a black parallel. Pretty cool.

Bowman puts a bunch of parallels in their products today. Nice low numbered black parallel.

So the next case has been ordered. We will be breaking 2016-17 NBA Spectra. This is essentially Gold Standard (which received such good reactions from you guys) on steroids. Plenty of great veteran auto relics (way less complete crap autos) and rookie autos to be had. 6 boxes. 10 cards per box. 7 hits per box. Another benefit to Spectra is the fact that there are Ben Simmons base cards worth quite a pretty penny. The quality of the cards that I've encountered has been superb, another thing GS and Spectra have in common as opposed to the Noirs, Immacs, NTs of the world.

The checklist is far superior to GS. There are way fewer random "legends" taking up autos and junk bench guys. The cards are also very aesthetically pleasing as each different color has a different refractor design. This product was released post trade deadline as well so some of the players have their new teams as cards. Some have both. The card will go to the team SHOWN on the card (see: Buddy Hield).

Spots will only be $46/each. They will be first come, first serve with a maximum of 4 teams per participant. We will randomize and do everything like we have in the past. Further details to follow.

I'm really excited to break this so in the meantime while dates etc are figured, check out the setlist below.

Spectra Checklist

Btw the next product we do WILL be a higher card count, heavier base product. Gold Standard was enjoyed so much, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to break Spectra.

I'm personally hoping the winding down of the baseball season will allow us to creep in with some Bowman Chrome action.

The gloves are back baby. Let's do work folks and pull some filth.

It's a really low numbered RC. It should be card #78. I think the only reason you see the Platinum across the left is because it's a parallel version of the card.

wow this is pretty cool. i only vaguely knew about this. i am guessing this has taken off because the people my age (34) loved opening up baseball cards so much as kids?

Interesting idea. Id think that's part of it yes. I'm 30 myself. The industry did a great job of revamping itself with the quality of autograph memorabilia and using the Internet and technology to its advantage. These products are meant to be opened this way. No kid is going to convince their parents to buy them a "pack" of National Treasures, which runs about $700-800 for 8 cards lol.

The introduction of all these game used relics alongside autos on the same card was a smart concept. Limiting production was another great concept. There are maybe 200 or so true rookie patch autographs in the flagship product (NT). These patches are normally very cool and game worn. Creating scarcity and upping the quality really kept the business alive.

Here's some of my personal Spectra stuff to give y'all an idea of what it looks like.

Even the baseline rookie relic autos are sleek. Inked up Silver Refractors.

On a whim, i checked Walmart.com and they had 2017 Bowman Platinum Blasters for $19.98 in stock. My son's Christmas and birthday are covered now.

Case is in. Monday break likely. I didn't want to run up against NBA opening night (Celts/Cavs & Rockets/Warriors) so Colts/Titans seemed like a safer bet...by a lot.

That's awesome Sausage. I actually prefer blasters to boxes in most cases. There's cool stuff in them or one hit and just a better chance at hitting RCs cause you're getting better bang for the buck pack wise.

Heck I've opened a bunch of prizm hoops stuff and the best pull I've gotten hits wise was out of a blaster on our break (the Jaylen auto /25).
