Don't even think that's possible

Carmelo was probably waiting to see if Bosh was going to Houston so he could sign with Miami.

That doesn't make any sense.

Why not? Melo will obviously turn down 5/129 with the Heat for 4/48

Melo can sign anywhere he wants. Why wait for Bosh?

Because 1 -Bosh was not going to sign before Lebron made his decision

2- Him leaving would mean (most likely) that Lebron left, too and Melo is not taking a discount to go to a Lebron-less heat team.

So Reggie Miller just made a great point on NBAtv (I can't believe I just said that).

As annoying as it is that LeBron's decision is putting a lot of the NBA on hold, as an NBA fan having the NBA as the #1 story in sports in the middle of July is pretty nice.

Carmelo Anthony's intentions have not been communicated to the Bulls, source says. But Chicago has cap-clearing moves teed up.

About 40 pages ago I said ESPN was paying Bron to wait. I'm now 80% confident that is true.

Does no one else find it unlikely that Lebron would sign with a team where the owner publicly disgraced him after he decided to pursue a different team years ago? Especially after how outspoken he was about Sterling? And if he hasn't even met with him or the team (or the brand new coach) yet?

Is the Cleveland argument "you don't know that he HASN'T met with them yet?"

Ok, fair enough.

Kinda bizarre either way. Cleveland is just asking to be heart broken again though

Lebron may have told riley during the meeting that he was fine with Bosh leaving for Houston because wanted Carmelo in Miami. They have always wanted to play together, hence the procrastination by Carmelo.

No, he can only sign where a team wants him.

Miami may have Bosh as option #1, and if he doesn't want to come back, then Melo would want to go to Miami.

I do love the idea of a possible Conference Finals of Melo/Rose/Noah vs. LeBron/Bosh/Wade or LeBron/Kyrie/Wiggins (or Love)

Yea, everyone thought that, but things are a bit different today with the new information out there from Woj(he's the only guy I remotely trust on these)
